How to Prep for your exam session
- Ensure your testing enviroment is somewhere where you can be alone for the duration of your exam.
- Bring valid ID
- You will need TWO DEVICES. We use two devices for your exam session. Also, it may help to have a tripod or something to help prop up your second device.
- Pay your exam fee through one of the provided links. The exam fee is $15 for applicants over 18. Youth applicants are covered by donations from local Hams.
- Remove any smart devices from your testing area. Smart watches/glasses
- Save and close out any work/personal pages. We will be using a single tab on your testing device.
Youths interested in becoming licensed amateur radio operators are eligible for reimbursement of their FCC application fee after successfully passing their exam.
To apply for reimbursement, click the link below to access the online application form. Complete the form and submit it to the ARRL. Once your application is approved, the ARRL will mail you a reimbursement check for the FCC application fee.
